Hidden Ways to Elevate Your Wedding Day

Uncategorized

Your wedding day should be timeless– something to look back on your 25th anniversary and reflect on the day’s elegance. Recent social media trends focus heavily on money-saving tips. While some of these are GREAT tips, you don’t want to feel like your wedding is missing elegant touches. Here are some of my favorite ways to elevate your wedding day:

Lavish Cocktails

You’ll hear this many times on my blogs: SIGNATURE COCKTAILS! Signature drinks are a great way to make your cocktail hour feel elegant. Opting for an upscale mixologist company is great as they can provide great conversation and knowledge about recommendations. Another way to elevate this element is to incorporate fresh herbs into the cocktails and provide custom stir sticks or edible drink toppers.

Detailed Invitations

Your wedding invitation is the first thing your guests see regarding your wedding. They create the anticipation for the big day, and should reflect the color scheme and overall vibe you are wanting to share. A great way to elevate your invitations by using colored wax seals with your initials on them. Additionally if your wedding is very floral-heavy, placing a dried flower underneath the wax seal is a great touch to bring the vibe together. Invitations have so much flexibility, but I like to recommend including a separate details card with more information about dress code, transportation, and lodging. This will help reduce the amount of questions you’ll receive after sending them.

Kickstart the Party

For those with family far and wide, one night to celebrate isn’t enough for some couples. Elevate the entire wedding weekend by having a cocktail party the night before. For some guests, it may be their first experience in the city you are hosting your wedding. Give them a great impression by taking some of your far-out family and friends to a local rooftop bar to kickstart the weekend.

Don’t Be Afraid of Textures

Simple is not always better. Too many similar-toned linens can look low budget. Adding different textures into the table scape is one of my favorite ways to elevate your wedding. I love recommending using velvet linens for winter weddings to add a warm and unique texture to the season.

Unique Entertainment

Once the dance floor opens, the night is very straightforward with continuing drinks and dancing. A great way to add more excitement to the night is to opt for a unique entertainment experience. Whether it is a saxophone player or an interactive dance lesson, adding entertainment can elevate your event.

Adding small additions to your wedding day like these suggestions are destined to WOW your guests. While subtle, they add a luxury ambiance to the day that make it clear you thought of the little things. What makes this so unique is that there are hundreds of ways to elevate your day, but you can customize your additions to YOUR liking! We love working with couples who have visions for their big day.
