When Annie + Alec got engaged, they dreamed of a gorgeous + dreamy night dancing the under the twinkle lights. Their late-August celebration in San Juan Capistrano was a beautiful example of wedding dreams turning into reality.

Details

When designing this wedding, the couple loved the neutral look with light wood accents. This is one of my favorite color schemes to work with but adding a pop of color makes it SO fun! We chose pale yellow floral accents for this dreamy neutral reception. It was perfect for the Summer season.

Cocktail Hour

The couple opted to say their, “I do’s” at a local church. This meant my team & I got the cocktail hour and reception areas 100% ready for guest arrival. At Marbella Country Club, the guests walked through the main entrance and made their way to the outdoor deck for cocktail hour. The rented 360° all-white bar was the focal point of this part of the social hour. Guests enjoyed drinking signature drinks, signing the guestbook, and finding their wedding photo on the large photo wall.

While celebrating the beginning of their marriage, Annie + Alec wanted to find a way to honor their guests’ love stories. The two decided on a custom photo wall to share their guest’s wedding photos in chronological order of their anniversaries. It was SO sweet and interactive among the guests.

Reception

After the first hour mingling and getting handcrafted drinks at the bar, it was time for the reception. Wooden tables, rattan chairs, and other gorgeous details were set-up on the large green lawn. Our couple had a very large wedding party, 13 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen. We set up a large kings table for the wedding party and their +1’s with the couple at the head of the table. The mixture of round tables and the long rectangle was such a fun vibe for the reception!

Dancing

After speeches and dining, it was our couple’s most anticipated time of the night: the dancing! We had set up a white dance floor, a cozy lounge, cigar bar, and an abundance of string lights above the terrace. The guests seemed to have such an incredible time and loved to flow of the event moving from the cocktail hour, reception, and the late-night dancing. The late-night dancing under the twinkle lights was such a dreamy moment for the couple’s first dance!

One of the most memorable moments of the night was the tequila cart! Annie + Alec wanted to surprise their guests with a round of tequila shots + limes to the song, “Tequila” by The Champs. It made for a great photo op and the guests LOVED it!

It was such an honor to get to plan Annie + Alec’s dreamy wedding. Thank you to these vendors who contributed to creating this dreamy wedding:
