Tucked away in the hills of Malibu, California lies the enchanted venue of Calamigos Ranch. Oak trees line the winding driveway into this multi-space venue. Our couple Jennifer + Robby chose the Birchwood Room, a romantic outdoor ceremony and reception space for their wedding.
With neutral weddings, its fun to add a small accent of color. A great way way to introduce color is with the taper candles! We chose to go with light pink candles with gold candlestick accents. When choosing an accent color, I like to consider the season to help influence this choice. This gorgeous summer wedding made pale pink a fitting accent!
The couple wanted to continue this simple color palette throughout their wedding. The cake was a 2-tiered white cake with cascading neutral flowers. Additionally, Jennifer’s bouquet had plenty of white florals with subtle pop of blush. The simple color palette was strategic as it complemented the complex weeping trees above the ceremony and reception spaces. The overall design choices really helped bring a romantic feeling to the wedding spaces.
Jennifer + Robby both walked down the florally-focused aisle to tie the knot. They emphasized the fresh florals in their ceremony and kept all other elements simple to let the natural surroundings stand out. The two had a beautiful ceremony standing between a trickling water fall and their loved ones.
The couple went with a simple and romantic theme to their late July wedding day. Hints of pale pink, sage green, and white graced the outdoor venue. To accent the surrounding wooden elements, we selected cross-back chair style to bring together the rustic yet elegant feel of the reception.
As the summer sun set, the warm-toned lights and chandeliers swaying from the trees glowed over the couple as speeches and dinner ensued. When it was time to move the party indoors, Jennifer + Robby wanted to have a rockstar-style dancing party for the night. We had a live band play some of the couple’s favorite songs for dancing with their guests. To end the night, Hot Dog on a Stick was a perfect option to have a fun late night snack to this wedding!
Thank you to all of the fantastic vendors who helped create this romantic Malibu wedding day!
