My first blog of 2021 is of course one of my favorite weddings from last year. This San Clemente dream wedding was so much fun to plan and we did it in just 3 short months. Allie and Matthew were supposed to be married in Banff, Canada in May 2020 but of course the pandemic had other plans. They ended up having to cancel this wedding because of the border closure and travel restrictions. After finding a new venue in Laguna Beach, they found me!

Unfortunately, the Laguna Beach venue was unable to host their wedding due to city property regulations but then I recommended La Ventura Event Center. This venue ended up being perfect and the whole reason they had a San Clemente wedding!

From start to finish the entire day was filled with joy, details and all the prettiness.

Details

OH the details… and the DRESS. This has been one of my favorite dresses on a bride of mine and it fit Allie’s personality and aura perfectly. From the illusion bodice to the bow detail it was stunning.

First Look

Allie and Matthew chose to have a first look which was the absolute sweetest moment between the two of them. The way he looked at her melted all of our hearts.

Ceremony

During the ceremony we were all laughing, crying and experiencing so much happiness along side them both.

Reception

Lily Roden Floral created pure magic with the most beautiful centerpieces and perfectly colored taper candles. We can’t forget about the pretty bud vases that covered the cocktail tables and sweetheart table.

When Allie and I discussed design we really wanted the wedding design to feel romantic yet vibrant. We selected gold accent details from Signature Party Rentals like their stunning gold flatware and gold rimmed charger plates that added elegance to each place setting.

Heidi B Davidson design created all signage, menu cards and the table names that were all named after places Allie and Matthew have travelled.

Allie and Matthew are an absolute dream couple. From the planning process to the day of the wedding you can feel their warmth and love radiating and I’m so honored to have been a part of it.
