I’m so excited to share Karina and Mike’s beautiful backyard micro wedding. It took place in Los Angeles at a beautiful private home. As you know, weddings are a bit different right now but there are ways to celebrate within guidelines. I’m going to outline a few of the details you can have at your backyard micro wedding that will make it safe.
But, before we jump into details about Karina and Mike’s perfect day let’s talk about the venue. Hidden Garden LA is a brand new beautiful privately owned venue that actually is a backyard! The stunning greenhouse is the focal point and you will not be disappointed. Here’s a photo:
Karina and Mike invited 8 of their closest friends and family for an intimate ceremony and socially distant dinner. But before meeting everyone at the ceremony they decided to have a first look. You can see the excitement on their faces that warmed everyones heart.
When planning your micro wedding I think its important to hold onto traditions you wanted at your larger ready. For example: the first look, if you wanted one at a big wedding you can still have one at your smaller wedding.
Seeing the before and after of the ceremony space was amazing. It went from regular backyard to a whimsical garden wedding dream. The ghost chairs and ground arrangement florals lining the aisle are stunning. Additionally, the ground arrangement florals created a beautiful circular arch for them to be married in.
Here is a backyard micro wedding tip: live stream your ceremony. I am loving it because all of your friends and family members get to tune in safely from a distance.
After Karina and Mike shared their first dance the guests were seated in the greenhouse for their individually boxed dinner by Hungry Bear Catering. We played dinner music from a speaker to enhance the ambiance. However, one thing to note is that depending on the regulations for during your wedding there may or may not be dancing allowed.
Finally, Sweet Petite Treats made a perfect one tier chocolate cake (Karina’s favorite) that was perfect to share with the small guest count!
In conclusion you can absolutely have your dream wedding. It can be a backyard micro wedding or a huge wedding because either way you are marrying your person. <3
