When I thought about starting a vendor workshop, I had a few goals in mind. As a newer business in the industry I’ve learned first hand over the past couple of years how there is SO MUCH to continue learning. Everything from social media marketing, CRM systems to even accounting there is a learning curve that we all must go through.
I wanted to create a community where small businesses can come together to learn a new topic, have fun and network all at one event.
Vendors were welcomed with a glass of rose provided by our bartending caterer Creme de La Creme Foods. Making this event feel classy and welcoming from the entrance was very important to me. Not only were they greeted with rose but Two Town Sent serenaded with live guitar.
Alleylujah is a 80 person max intimate venue in Costa Mesa. It was the perfect place for my vendor workshop! They set the room exactly how I wanted in classroom style and all the tables and chairs are included in the venue. The venue also has an indoor and outdoor section.
Before sitting down for the education portion the attendees enjoyed charcuterie. The Cheese Block created a gorgeous display of cheese, fruits and more!
I was introduced to our speaker, Lorina Daiana, through a local business. We spoke on the phone and immediately hit it off connecting on our passion to connect with others. She is a Pinterest genius and came into the workshop ready to give us so many amazing tips. (After the workshop my Pinterest grew from 1 viewer to 14k+)
After our education portion of the workshop, we transitioned into the networking hour! This included an open bar with vodka cocktails and a dessert bar with cupcakes by Sweet Petite Treats. Furthermore, KIK Entertainment also provided a photo booth for a bit of added fun.
This vendor workshop is one of my favorite memories. My biggest goal was for the attendees to leave feeling like the workshop added value to their life overall. Both the education portion and the networking portion were equally important to me. I feel that this vendor workshop captured both education and connection. In conclusion, there will definitely be more workshops to come!
