I’ve been reflecting on what an amazing 2019 I had and the amazing Southern California venues I had the opportunity to work at. I also was lucky enough to meet the sweetest couples, and work with some super talented vendors.

There are so many hidden gem venues in Southern California and I  know it can be a bit over whelming during a venue search. However, doing a bit of research before you dive into hunting is always fun!

Below are some of my favorite Southern California venues I  worked at in 2019 and what I loved about them!  (I have so many more favorites than whats on this list too)

1. Ole Hanson Beach Club  San Clemente, CA

An ocean front venue that is truly representative of Southern California’s charm. This venue is all about views and Spanish details from the stunning outdoor deck for dining to the infamous Spanish style steps. In other words, you can’t go wrong with this 24 Carrots Venue.

2. Franciscan Gardens  San Juan Capsitrano, CA

A beautiful garden setting for al fresco dining! The location is perfect because its close enough to have photos done at The Mission San Juan Capistrano. Also, this venue has the cutest and one of the largest Bridal room and a separate Groom suite.

3. Millwick – Los Angeles, California

This venue is a beautiful representation of all the greatness LA has to offer. This Southern California wedding venue is in the center of Downtown Los Angeles and has a unique layout and atmosphere. The unique architecture and wonderful amenities like the tables/chairs included and amazing lounge sets makes it a venue that doesn’t need much decorating!

4. Ebell Long Beach

From top to bottom this venue is stunning and detailed. From the high ceilings that let in amazing natural light to the tile floor you won’t need much to dress up this venue. With three separate rooms, the venue feels large and intimate at the same time.

5. Aventura Ocean Club – Dana Point, California

In the center of Dana Point Harbor this venue has a 360 view of boats and gorgeous views. One of the options for this venue is a Yacht grand entrance and you can take photos with your bridal party on the yacht too! However, for larger guest counts, I recommend having your ceremony at a near by park with an ocean view.

6. Casino – San Clemente, California

Located just across the street from the ocean this Southern California venue comes with endless furniture, a gorgeous built in bar and two gorgeous patios. The venue actually has 4 event spaces, two indoor and two outdoor which makes the possibilities endless.

7. The MODERN – Long Beach, California

Clean lines, white walls and a beautiful open space. The Modern is truly a blank canvas for couples. I loved having the freedom to design and select every ceremony and reception detail to compliment each other against the sleek backdrop. Pro Tip; Make sure to get a permit from the Pacific Air Center so you can take photos with the planes!

I had the privilege to work at some amazing venues last year and truly can’t wait to work at many more in 2020 and even return to a couple of these venues. All in all, when searching for your perfect Southern California wedding venue, keep your options open and explore with fun site tours after doing some research like on blogs of course! You can also take a look at my wedding galleries for some inspiration.
